Home Decorating Tips - How to Change a Rooms Dimension using Wall Pictures & Mirrors

The Basic Role of Pictures

Wall art plays an important role in interior design as it helps create the ambience of a room. By cleverly placing wall pictures in certain ways, you can change and create a new look and feel in a room.

The role wall pictures play in interior design are:-

  • pictures, mirrors or other ornamental accessories on walls help make the room look ”lived in” and they also inject your personality into the room;
  • color pictures and prints help connect with the rooms accent;
  • pictures help absorb noise in a room, otherwise a room with totally bare walls will sound empty and will have an echo;
  • pictures and prints can help enhance or change a room’’s ”look and feel”.

This mirror is the most useful item we have ever invented.

Not only is this a full length dressing mirror, but it has a white area at the top that you can write on with any felt tip pen. Leave any note you wish to remind you….when you don’t need the note anymore, just wipe it off with a tissue, rag or even your hand.

That’s not all… The mirror has clear glass areas at the side that serve as photo frames and a picture collage.

The back of the mirror has open pockets where you slip in your favorite snapshots and they’re framed in a mirror.

That’s still not all…. the frame is made of coated steel that is receptive to refrigerator magnets. Just take any paper, picture, menu or note and stick it to the mirror with any refrigerator magnet.

This is the coolest product. It’s the perfect gift for that kid in college, or put it on your own closet door. The perfect mirror to remind you of anything.

They’re packed in two’s. What better way to buy one for yourself and have another for a gift.

Target has a collage door mirror which doesn’t have half the usefulness this has….

And…. best of all it includes special “over the door” brackets, so it hangs in seconds and can be taken down and moved also in seconds.

Using a combination of paint, a wall mirror and a large colorful wall picture.

1. Paint one wall a darker color that the rest of the walls in the room.

2. Select a colorful and lively large painting (print or posters work well too) and hang it on the wall you have just painted.

3. On the wall adjacent to your picture, hang a decorative large mirror.

The mirror will reflect the large picture, and the additional darker color on the wall and will thereby give the room added dimension and depth. It will make the room seem wider.

Mirrotek’s mirror strips and murals are a great way to add the depth to smaller spaces.

Powell Furniture sold the original free standing Jewelry Armoire as a piece of furniture in 1985. It was so popular that it was copied over the the next 20 years in all manner of styles for Macy’s, bergdorf Goodman, JCPenney and others. QVC has been selling a cheval type mirror jewelry armoire and claims to have sold over 300,000 of them.

Mirrotek has improved on the same full length mirror style, by putting it on special brackets so it fits over the door. This space saving feature, which takes the original Jewelry Armoire idea OFF the floor and lets you hang it both on the inside or the outside of the door and you lose no storage space, while still giving you the use of a full lenght mirror to check yourself out with your “bling”.

One additional feature is the smaller additional mirror on the inside of the Jewelry Armoire. You can check out how your earrings and necklaces will look on you before even closing the mirrored door.

Mirrored walls - a wall of mirrors - from wall to wall

You’ve seen them in the luxury hotels, ballet studios and expensive gyms. You’ve seen them in the most expensive homes.

since the time of Louis fourteenth, a mirrored wall was the epitome of luxury.

Not only did a mirrored wall increase the light in any room and double the size of the room it was in, but they were very expensive, both to buy and to install.

Not everyone could do it, measurements had to be taken, you had to be a real pro to be able to cut the mirrors so that they will fit from wall to wall.

Well, we invented a system that any two unskilled persons can install a mirrored wall in under 60 minutes, with no cutting and a minimal amount of measuring (if you’re off as much as a foot its no important).

This system is so easy that anybody can do it.

The perfect “week-end” carpenter project.

Do it for yourself, or for others and charge them half of what a mirror professional will charge and still make a very nice profit.

A mirrored wall with bevelled mirrors can cost from a few thousand dollars to over $5,000 for a 20 foot wall.

Mirrorek will be allowing this patented system to be sold to professional contractors and individual DIY’ers. If you have interest post your comments and we’ll send you a link to “before and after” pictures of real room settings and a “how to video”.
